We were up bright and early to have breakfast on the patio, and then to get directions at the hotel lobby. |

| We checked out the shopping in Cardiff. There were quaint stores along the street just off the ocean (and the usual strip malls further inland). We stopped at a used bookstore to stock up on beach reading, and at a vintage clothing shop, where Owen found a new look: |

Finally, we stayed in this lovely, secluded cottage near La Jolla, near the beach. While here, we were also able to drive into La Jolla to explore the restaurants and night life! |
