Quarter Calls
I wrote these wardings for a ritual where, as you may guess from the text, we had a Catholic in the circle. She had no problem with our ritual, but she asked for the powers she respected to be included, since she was going to be a part of it.

East: Out of the brisk swift Air
From the White Winds and the rising of the day,
From the fleeting bright maiden and dawn, I come to open the East.
By the talisman Cerrunnos, the Stag of the Seven Tines
By the Spear that roars for blood
And Gabriel, the Angel Herald of Heaven
May no thought disturb our rite here.

South: Out of the warm Sun's Light
From green vasty jungles and white stone Temples
From the half-known Gods and day, I come to open the South.
By the talisman Epona, the Mare of the Sun
By the Sword burning bright from the forge
And Michael, cutting the air with the light
May no action disturb our rite here.

West: Out of the chill still Water
From deep blue oceans and the setting of the sun
From the wave-washed Mother and dusk, I come to open the West.
By the talisman Mona, the Cow of Plenty
By the Cauldron of the Sea and of Healing
And Raphael, sweeping the oceans with his wings
May no emotion disturb our rite here.

North: Out of the frozen cold Earth
From the black sky of stars and the snow covered lands
From the lone oldest Woman and night, I come to open the North.
By the talisman Artos, the Strong Bear of Darkness
By the Stone in the strongest darkness of light
And Uriel, the one who knows the dark to fight.
May no harm disturb our rite here.
